The bag contains a stainless steel frame in laser cut technology.
The design inspiration is the SlutWalk. SlutWalk is a transnational movement of protest marches calling for an end to rape culture. Specifically, participants protest against explaining or excusing rape by referring to any aspect of a woman's appearance.The rallies began at 2011 in Canada, after a Toronto Police officer suggested that: "women should avoid dressing like sluts”.
The transparent material emphasizes the importance of the internal. In contrast to the external, and is trying to encourage people to dress as they wish without having to hide behind masks.The bag allows everyone to see the objects it contains, there is no place to hide “What you see is what you get”.
The x elements, also reference the women's protest march where the women walked shirtless, hiding their chests with X shaped tape. The purpose of the bag is to provide a platform for everyone to show their true character, and through that to create a protest.
